A field worker will point you to a specially marked garden for Guest Cut-Your-Own, and will be available to help you cut to ensure maximum health for our lavender and your bouquet. HOW TO CUT LAVENDER Source: WikiHow Lavender is best cut in the morning after the dew has evaporated, but before the midday sun has dissipated some of the fragrant oils. To cut, hold the stem and cut no less than 2" above the woody part. Cutting too low down will permanently harm the plant. Bundle your handful of lavender with elastic bands to keep them tidy. SUNFLOWER HOME CARE If you plan to keep your freshly-cut lavender in water, be sure to trim the ends when you get home and change the water daily - the lavender should last for about a week.
